Cost to Make a Classified Ads Website
1. $56 for Webhosting. To create your own Classified Ads Website you will first need a domain name. That’s why I recommend Fatcow.com. When you purchase web hosting from Fatcow, you get a free domain name. Along with that you also get unlimited email, disk space, bandwidth, MySQL databases, host unlimited domains and more. Click here to immediately save 40% off at Fatcow.com.
2. $0 for WordPress. WordPress is completely free open source platform. At Fatcow.com they have one click installs and you can literally have WordPress installed in minutes for free.
3. $59 for Wordpress Theme. This is a one time fee to purchase Classifier WordPress Theme from ColorLabs. There are no hidden fees, no membership fees and no subscription fees. You also get one click installs.
4. -$175 in Advertising Credits. If you purchase your webhosting from Fatcow.com you get free $175 worth of advertising credits. Fatcow.com understands it’s difficult being a new online Craigslist-like website and so they give you free advertising credits, this includes $100 for Google Adwords, $50 Facebook ads, and $25 for Yahoo/Bing.
So the total startup cost to create your Classified Ads Site:
- (Webhosting + WordPress + WordPress Theme) =$115
But if you factor in the free advertising credits you get from Fatcow.com:
- Startup Cost + Advertising Credits = -$60
So you actually don’t pay anything to startup your Classified Ads Site.
This is a great professional WordPress Theme to create a Classified Ads website like Craiglist.org or a website like OLX.com. I particularly love the scrolling featured listings on the frontpage and that you can setup a membership to collect payment from people who want to submit classified ads to your website. You can also allow users to submit free ads as well. Once users submit their ads they can manage their ads by logging into your site. They can edit, delete or renew their ads. This classified ads template is also responsive. You can test the responsive design by resizing the window. The content will look great regardless of the platform you view it on, whether it is on iPhones, iPads, any tablet, computer, or laptop. Check out the Classifier Classified Ads WordPress Theme, you will be impressed with the theme as well.

Hi Elaine,
Have you personally tried this template?
Which theme would you recommend more, the Classipress template or this template?
Thanks,
Rexx
Hi Rexx,
In my opinion, I would use the ClassiPress. I’ve used ClassiPress before and love their design and simplicity. Just depends on what you prefer. If you want the image and animation intensive site, perhaps the Classifier is a good option for you. Both have options for membership packs and ability for users to manage their own ads. They are both good templates.
Thanks for your visit,
