Joomla 1.6 Help – How to Hide Previous/Next link for Articles

by Elaine on June 9, 2011

Joomla 1.6 Help – There are 2 places where you see the navigational links – next and previous.  You can see them at the menu level and at the article level.  In this post I will show you how to remove the next/previous navigation links from your articles.  This is easily accomplished in your Article Manager.

1.  Login to your Joomla 1.6 administrator backend.

2.  Click on Content, Article Manager.

3.  Click on the ‘Options’ button on the top right of the screen.

4.  Under the ‘Articles’ tab, set the following value:

Show Navigation = Hide

5.  Click on Save & Close

Now you can refresh your articles on your Joomla 1.6 website and you will not see the Next /Previous navigation buttons.  If you wish to show these links, just go to Step 4 and set “Show Navigation” = Show.
