Joomla 1.7 Help – Where is the setting for ‘Add Menu Title’ in the Menu Item Menu Manager
I was preparing the next post to show how to replace a menu item with an image instead of text and I couldn’t figure out where the ‘Add Menu Title’ option was. If I just inserted the image, the title would show up beside it. I could not find out where to hide the menu item title. Then I realized again, it was something so simple. See the problem in my screenshot below:
Here is how it looked on my Joomla 1.7 frontpage with titles:
And for some reason in my Joomla 1.7 backend I couldn’t find the option to ‘Add Menu Title’ under the Link Type Options:
The simple answer to this problem is that it’s old Sample Data. These menu items were created with a previous version of Joomla ie Joomla 1.6 or Joomla 1.5 where the option for ‘Add Menu Title’ was in the menu parameters. How to solve this problem? You will have to create a new menu item. Yes. I even tried to click on “Save as Copy’ and didn’t work.
