Joomla 2.5 Tutorials – This tutorial will show you to remove the 3 banners at the bottom of the Joomla website that say Contribute! Books! Shop!.  If you are using Beez_20 you will see these banners at the bottom of your website.  You can customize or remove these 3 banners which are located in 3 different module positions.   See below:

 Overview of How to Remove the 3 Banners from your Joomla 2.5 website

•  Go to your Module Manager in Extensions Manager
• Search and Delete ‘Contribute!’ Banner Module in Module Manager
• Search and Delete ‘Books!’ Banner Module in Module Manager
• Search and Delete ‘Shop!’ Banner Module in Module Manager
• Empty Trash

1.   Go to your Module Manager in Extensions Manager

The bottom 3 banners – Contribute!, Books!, Shop! are 3 individual banner modules that are managed in your Module Manger.

Joomla 2.5 – Extensions – Module Manager

• Login to your Joomla 2.5 backend administrator
• Click on ‘Extensions’
• Click  on ‘Module Manager‘

2.  Search and Delete ‘Contribute!’ Banner Module in Module Manager

Remove the Contribute! Banner module from your Joomla 2.5 website.  The Contribute! Banner module is in position = position-9.    The screenshot below shows that the title of this banner module is ‘Contribute’.

2. Joomla 2.5 – Remove Contribute Banner Module

• Click on ‘Select Position’
• Select ‘position-9′
• Click on the checkbox beside the title ‘Contribute’
• Click on ‘Trash‘ icon on the top right

3.  Search and Delete ‘Books!’ Banner Module in Module Manager

Remove the Books! Banner module from your Joomla 2.5 website.  The Books! Banner module is in position = position-10.    The screenshot below shows that the title of this banner module is ‘Book Store’.

3. Joomla 2.5 – Remove Books Banner Module

• Click on ‘Select Position’
• Select ‘position-10′
• Click on the checkbox beside the title ‘Book Store’
• Click on ‘Trash‘ icon on the top right

4.  Search and Delete ‘Shop!’ Banner Module in Module Manager

Remove the Shops! Banner module from your Joomla 2.5 website.  The Shops! Banner module is in position = position-11.    The screenshot below shows that the title of this banner module is ‘Shop’.

4. Joomla 2.5 – Remove Shop Banner Module

• Click on ‘Select Position’
• Select ‘position-11′
• Click on the checkbox beside the title ‘Shop’
• Click on ‘Trash‘ icon on the top right

 5.  Empty Trash

Your banners have been deleted, but not permanently gone.  To permanently delete them, you will need to purge them from the trash.

Joomla 2.5 – 3 Deleted Banners Empty Trash

• Click on ‘Select Status’
• Select ‘Trashed’
• Use checkbox and select all 3 – Book Store, Shop and Contribute
• Click on ‘Empty Trash’ icon on the top right

That’s it.  Your 3 banners are now deleted.  You can refresh your website and you will not see them anymore.
