Joomla 3.0 Beez3 Font Size Bigger Reset Smaller Feature

by Elaine on September 23, 2012

I don’t know why in Joomla 3.0 they didn’t update the Beez3 template properties to allow people to easily remove the Font Size.  This clearly was a concern for users and this feature remains.  I went to check the Module Manager and thought this would be neat if they added it as a module, but no.  There is no module added for Font Size.  So I guess we are stuck again with modifying the index.php to remove the Font Size Feature from the top right corner of the Beez3 template

You don’t need to remove it from within index.php (although it doesn’t take much really to do it anyway) – you can just hide it with css

#fontsize { display: none ; }

I’m more trying to find out how to alter it – ‘cos I don’t want it displaying bigger/smaller/reset I want just three dots with background images and no text. Just trying to figure out where it gets the text from, I don’t mind the fontsize changer being there as it makes it more accessible (although most people who want a font-size increase would just use Ctrl and + or – or 0 on the keyboard to change the fontsize.
