1. Go to Module Manager
Module Manager controls all the modules that are installed on your site. Modules display information and are placed in module positions definited by in your template. That’s why there are template module maps so you can plan where you want your modules to show up.
- Login to your Administrator Backend
- Click on ‘Extensions’, ‘Module Manager‘
2. Search for Breadcrumbs & Unpublish
There are many modules in your Module Manager so you can scroll through all the modules or search for it in the search box. I typed in ‘Breadcrumbs’ in the module search box. Then unpublish the module so it will be removed from the. Take note that there are two Breadcrumb modules installed. I chose the one that is in a position and is displayed on all pages.
- Click on ‘Site’
- Type in ‘breadcrumbs’ in the search box
- Use checkbox to select the ‘Breadcrumbs’ in ‘position-2’
- Click on ‘Unpublish‘
3. View Homepage and see Breadcrumbs are gone
Now when you view your Joomla 3.0 Homepage you will not see the breadcrumbs anymore. Unpublishing it from the Module Manager will remove it from your site. If you want to keep the breadcrumbs, just go back to step 2 and click on ‘publish’.
