- Go to Users, User Manager
- Click on User Manager Options
- Disable User Registration in User Manager
Steps:
1. Go to Users, User Manager
All users that register on your Joomla website is managed in the Users, User Manager. You can block, edit, create new users. You can block users, change user access levels and so much more in the User Manager.
- Login to your Joomla 3.1.1 Backend Administrator
- Click on ‘Users’, ‘User Manager’
2. Click on User Manager Options
You can control the User Manager options such as default user registration group, toggle allowing user registration, create new user access groups and more.
- Click on ‘Options‘
3. Disable User Registration in User Manager
You can easily disable user registration on your Joomla 3.1.1 site in the User Manager Options. This will not allow any new users to create an account on your site.
- Click on ‘Component’ tab
- Set the following value:
- Allow User Registration = No
- Click on ‘Save & Close’
You can refresh your site and users will not be allowed to create new accounts on your site. If you want to enable the user registration again, you can toggle the ‘Allow User Registration’ to Yes.
